As Fiatalok a Változásért Egyesület, we proudly took part as the Hungarian partner in the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange Project “Every Child Deserves a Chance”, which was held in Taşköprü, Kastamonu, Turkey, between 17 – 23 May 2025. The project was hosted by the Taşköprü District Directorate of National Education.
The project brought together 40 young participants from five partner countries — Turkey, Spain, Hungary, Ireland, and Italy — including 10 participants with fewer opportunities. The main goal of the initiative was to raise awareness about the challenges faced by orphaned and vulnerable children, while also supporting the personal, social, and professional development of young people through non-formal education and youth work practices.
Throughout the project, participants took part in a variety of workshops, group discussions, and cultural activities designed to promote empathy, volunteerism, social inclusion, and equality. The activities also aimed to combat discrimination and strengthen cooperation among young people from different cultural backgrounds.
Representing Hungary, our team consisted of eight participants (four female and four male), including two young people with fewer opportunities. Our participants actively contributed to comparative studies on child protection policies in Hungary and other partner countries, sharing national approaches and identifying good practices. They also engaged in team-building and intercultural exchange activities, improving their communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
Daily evaluation meetings provided opportunities for reflection, allowing participants to analyze their learning outcomes and measure their personal progress. At the end of the project, all participants received a Youthpass Certificate, officially recognizing the competences and knowledge they gained during the exchange.
The “Every Child Deserves a Chance” project created meaningful and long-lasting impacts at both the individual and organizational levels. Participants gained valuable insights into the field of child protection, while partner organizations strengthened their international cooperation and youth engagement capacities. The project also promoted volunteerism, intercultural understanding, and social awareness across all participating countries.
As Fiatalok a Változásért Egyesület, we are honored to have been part of this impactful initiative. We believe that such projects play a vital role in building a more inclusive, compassionate, and socially responsible Europe, where every child truly has the chance to thrive.
